A story about life & death.

A question posed…

What happens when we die? What happened when we were here? Why did any of this happen at all?

What is the relationship between ourselves and those around us? What is our relationship to this planet? To this Universe? To God?

Where does Happiness come from? Depression? Joy? Grief?

When things start to crumble… when your inner world begins to implode - why is it easier to let it happen than to reverse course?

Why do we as Human Beings have the propensity for evil? And why then do so many of us choose to love instead?

This is the sound of inner disharmony.

These are the frequencies that emerge from the struggle between the spiritual forces that exist in the aether of this world.

Just behind the thin veil that surrounds us…

“Reality”

This is the sound of my heart.

These are the feelings that surface when we ask the most important question of all…

Why are we here?

I don’t know. None of us know.

And maybe that is the point.

Between the Black & White in this world…

There is always Grey.

That is where I will choose to stay.

About

Operating out of Denver, CO, lifelong musician Derek Petrucci, known mononymously as Pipe Leak, is a musical nomad with an eclectic ear for detail. His sound is driven by pure inspiration and free-flowing creativity, unrestricted by preconceived genre constraints or limitations. Constantly blurring the lines of genres and production techniques, his sound floats between dark and light – heavy and weightless – juxtaposing the brightness of optimism and the cynicism of human nature and pain. He has garnered a reputation for his all-original live sets that span tempo, style & emotion while telling a cohesive story throughout.
